Firehouse Red

2006 Firehouse Red

Tastes like really, really good red wine. Hard to separate all the flavors. Which varietal is lending which notes? Who knows? Who cares? Rounded, lush, layered and lovely, the ultimate food wine, pairing well with everything from pasta and pizza to grilled meat and roasted chicken.  Blackberries, currants and dark cherry combine with roasted coffee, melted dark chocoloate, black pepper, soft tannins and a supple lingering finish.

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

Powerful and full bodied with ripe and rich aromas and flavors of cola, dark cherry and cinnamon raisin bread intertwined with blackberry, chocolate mints and spicy notes of French oak. Of all the Tamarack reds, this shows the most length, complexity and balance.

2006 Cabernet Franc

Elegant with spiced cherry, blackberry and boysenberry mingling pleasingly and lingering seductively with a hint of oak, smooth chocolate and mocha on the structured tannins and fine-grained finish.

2006 Sangiovese

Lots of ripe strawberry jam and bright red cherry acidity with hints of rose petals, juicy raspberry coulis and velvety tannins for an intense initiation with a lengthy finish.

Syrah Label

2004 Syrah

Baked plum, roasted mocha and earth aromas open to dark cherry and boysenberry flavors with mineral and toasted currant. A big wine with lots of structure, great fruit and complexity with a jammy, fleshy core and sweet, intense tannins.

Chardonnay Label

2006 Chardonnay

Notes of bright acidity, pineapple, butterscotch and peach engulf the mouth with a creamy texture that leads to a long, complex finish with a hint of smooth, high-quality oak.

2005 Merlot

Firm and focused on the palate this is one big Merlot. The flavors are almost piercing in their intensity with loads of classic dark cherry and ripe berry that lingers and becomes more intriguing in the mouth with the rich tannins.

2004 Syrah: Wine & Spirits, February 2008

Wine & Spirits February 2008

This wine is really all about chocolate, especially when first opened. A ripe black raspberry-jam scent emerges from underneath, with candied plum flavors giving buyancy to that cocoa'd base. With time this wine becomes more ample and fresh, both juicy and mouthfilling. A syrah for barbecued ribs.
