Wine & Spirits Winery of the Year 2009
Firehouse 3

Why join the "Firehouse"?

World Class Wines! At Tamarack Cellars our focus is on crafting spectacular wines that consistently over-deliver on quality for their price.  We do this by putting our money where it counts.  As Owner/Winemaker Ron Coleman is fond of pointing out, “It’s the fruit, stupid!”

Outstanding grapes from some of Washington States most highly regarded vineyards, make for great wines and the critics agree. Our wines have earned consistently great reviews and accolades such as these.

...just to mention a few.

The Firehouse Red is all about the fruit. At $20 per bottle, this spectacular wine is one of the best red wine values available.  Our 2002 vintage was listed as one of the world’s top 100 wines by Wine Spectator and our newest release promises to be our best yet. It’s jammy and loaded with berries, cherries, cassis, coffee, chocolate, vanilla bean and cinnamon.

No less than five varietals are blended together from carefully selected vineyards sites to create a rich, heavenly, fruit explosion that will leave you wondering why you didn’t order more of this expressive, well-balanced wine. Taste this and you’ll know what we mean when we say “it’s all about the fruit”. Having your cellar stocked with Firehouse Red is a pretty smart move.

That’s why we’ve selected Firehouse Red as the “engine” that drives our wine club. It’s perfect for special occasions or as an everyday wine. Club shipments will always include Firehouse Red paired with a winemaker’s selection of Tamarack Cellars’ highly rated wines, including our very limited Vineyard Reserve Series.

2007 Chardonnay: Wine Enthusiast

Really nice, fragrant and floral with lovely clover and peach highlights. It's dusty and elegant, a truly stylish and very affordable Chardonnay. There's just a bit of sharpness in the finih gently fading into toast.

2006 DuBrul Vineyard Reserve: Wine Enthusiast

The flavors though tight and reserved, are substantial and lightly earthy, and the tannins sculpted and refined.  Well defined and polished, the tight, tart fruit is enhanced with hints of mushroom and earth, leading into a pleasing toasty finish.

2006 Firehouse Red: Wine & Spirits

Always a juicy, jammy, generous wine, this year's Firehouse has an extra dollop of smoky oak to go with it's ripe black cherry and plum flavors.
